International Cheese began the year introducing new cheeses and also improving upon some of the current favourites. The list of Updated cheeses include: Fior'di Latte (a small and large version), Bocconcini, Mini Bocconcini, Ranchero and Goat Ranchero. With a strong finish in 2009, All You Need is Cheese Magazine featured International Cheese in their Discovery Corner. Here's the except as published in the Winter 2009 issue:

For over 40 years, hand-crafting cheese has been the norm at International Cheese Company. Their recent Grand Prix category winner, Provolone Pignata, embodies the qualities they attain. the Provolone is a pasta filata cheese that is cooked, stretched and moiulded into the shape of a pear, to produce excellent melting properties for pizza and pasta. Use it for an antipasto plate and note its compatibilty with the olives, dried meats and fruit. If visiting the store on the weekend, to take home some of their excellent fresh Ricotta as an extra treat.

International Cheese Awarded at 2009 Canadian Cheese Grand Prix

International Cheese ended 2009 celebrating with an award for our Provolone Pignata in the Pasta Filata Category. As described in the Winter 2009 issue of "All You Need is Cheese Magazine", Provolone Pignata is a "Firm Cheese Molded to resemble a huge pear, it melts and browns at high temperatures".
